The Marlyn Monroe Chairs
At KLP Restorations, we were honoured to undertake one of our most exciting upholstery projects to date—restoring a pair of armchairs once owned by the legendary Marilyn Monroe.
Acquired by the current owner through an exclusive auction and shipped to Australia, these iconic pieces were entrusted to us for full restoration. Our work included carefully re-gluing the frames to restore structural integrity, rejuvenating the original polish, and re-upholstering the chairs in a luxurious silk fabric from Zepel Fabrics.
The result is a striking combination of timeless Hollywood glamour and refined contemporary style—beautifully preserving the history while bringing new life to these remarkable pieces.
