Our Restoration Philosophy
At KLP Restorations, we don’t aim to make antique furniture look brand new.
Instead, our approach is based on preserving the character, structure and story of each piece, while ensuring it remains strong and functional for future generations.
This conservation-minded restoration style is especially suited to:
-
family heirloom furniture
-
antique dining tables and chairs
-
cedar, walnut, mahogany and pine furniture
-
veneer furniture
-
early Australian pieces
-
English and European antiques
-
quality vintage furniture
Every restoration is individually assessed to determine the most appropriate traditional repair approach.

About KLP Restorations
KLP Restorations is a family-run antique furniture restoration workshop based in Esk and servicing Brisbane and South East Queensland.
Founded by Kane and Morgan Palliaer, our business brings together more than 25 years of experience in traditional furniture restoration, French polishing, upholstery and heritage furniture repairs.
We specialise in restoring antique and vintage furniture with care, precision and respect for each piece’s history, helping clients preserve furniture that has often been passed down through generations.
Every piece that enters our workshop is treated with the same attention and craftsmanship we would give our own family furniture.
A Family Tradition of Furniture Restoration
KLP Restorations began as a small cabinet-making and restoration workshop in 2000 and has grown alongside our family over the years.
Today we operate from our workshop in a restored 100-year-old dairy barn in the Somerset region, where we continue to provide traditional furniture restoration services for clients across:
-
Brisbane
-
Ipswich
-
Toowoomba
-
Somerset Region
-
Lockyer Valley
-
Sunshine Coast hinterland
As a family-run business, we believe restoration should never be rushed. Our focus is always on quality craftsmanship rather than production-style repair work.
